Margaret, Palmer, and baby Mary Thomas arrived a few minutes after I drove up. While Palmer spent an hour playing with a bag of ribbons with “CoCo,” Margaret, who teaches nursing at Kennesaw State, and I traded funny stories of “challenging” students.
Courtnay, Scott, and I spent time sharing our ongoing grief. Will there be a time when I don’t cry every day? In my car, at church, when I hear a song we both loved? But how thankful I am to have had a sister I loved and laughed with for 57 years.
