New Orleans, LA
Well, it seems Google Maps is not completely reliable. I ended up in downtown Mobile, AL and got suspicious when directed to go north to Montgomery.
This WWII Museum in New Orleans is wide-ranging, including detailed timelines of the Pacific and European campaigns, video stories of the survivors and liberators of the Holocaust, and a Jeep and a German Opel sedan. The women’s military uniforms and personal stories were interesting to me. John would have loved this museum and would have spent more than a few days reading every single exhibit.
My playlist is 27 hours long (442 songs) and includes oldies, of course, and a mix of country ballads and Broadway tunes. Some new (to me) artists I like are Alex Warren, Damiano David, and Chappell Roan. Check them out. What do you recommend that I add to my playlist?
WWII book recommendation: War and Remembrance by Herman Wouk.

And what a delicious meal at Superior Seafood – thanks to frequent NO visitor, Melanie C, for the recommendation.
